Five key areas holistic life coaching targets that traditional therapy can’t

Have you ever wished there was a therapist or counsellor you could speak to about spiritual, unexplained, or esoteric experiences? Someone who could answer your questions, understand your interests, and see, really see, your soul?

That was me at 14 years old. I was in and out of therapy throughout my teenage years and then consistently through my 20s. And don’t get me wrong—therapy is deeply supportive. I’m all for any kind of therapy.

But I also always felt like something was missing, or perhaps, my therapist was missing something. And when I tried to verbalize my experiences, no one could provide me with answers.

Holistic life coaching was the missing key

That is until I found holistic life coaching. It’s a coaching approach that looks at and works with all parts that make up your person—mind, body, soul, spirit, and energy.

Each of these areas are unique and when healed wholeistically, profound transformations take place. Everything is connected in more ways than we think.

For example, to just heal the mind without healing the body means results often take much longer to appear. To heal the body without healing the soul, you’ll often feel like you’re chasing goals that are always out of reach.

This is why most people find themselves in therapy for years or they seek multiple practitioners to take care of those different parts of themselves. Just like I did.

So let's delve deeper into the five key areas that holistic coaching supports.

  1. Helps you listen to your body’s cues

Your physical body gives clues into your emotional, mental, and energetic world. Every ailment or dis-ease in the body represents an energetic memory, which holds an emotional experience. This can look like anything from a chronic nutritional deficiency to PMS symptoms or even cancer. A holistic life coach looks at all the clues to help you identify which emotional experiences your body is subconsciously holding onto.

  2. Strengthens your mind

Tending to your mind is key to reprogramming your body and energy field. The inner voices and memories stored in your mind are deeply connected to subconscious trauma and physical pain. A holistic life coach will help open pathways for release and bring your mind to a conscious state of awareness. When you start to reprogram the way you think and talk to yourself, you also start to change on a physical and energetic level.

  3. Connects you to your soul

Your soul is the infinite part of you that stores all the data from every lifetime and timeline you’ve experienced (including the one taking place right now). As a life coach and medium, I channel this part of you to actively initiate the healing process for any pain or traumatic memories influencing your current reality. This could look like feelings of lack, self-doubt, physical discomfort, relationship turmoil, loneliness, and more.

  4. Builds relationships with the spiritual realm

Spirit represents and speaks to the connection you have within yourself, to yourself, to the Divine (God, Source, Universe, Nature, whatever you like to call it), and the spiritual experience and energy around you. Holistic life coaching helps you develop a key understanding of your relationship to the spiritual realm and how to express it.

  5. Balances your energetic layers

Think of your energy as a force field that protects you. But here’s the thing—this force field has multiple layers, each protecting a different part of you (like your liver, heart centre, subconscious mind, spirit, and even your soul—the list is endless!) Holistic life coaching helps you harness and balance these energies so they ebb and flow in harmony.

Holistic life coaching helps you see more than the sum of your parts.

Holistic life coaching brings together all the parts of you to work synergistically as one. It provides you with more clarity, deeper healing, and transformative experiences that will carry you into the future and beyond.

Little did my younger self know that my experience with holistic life coaching would lead me to support women in the same ways I needed and knew were missing. I felt in my gut there was something more and I’m so happy I trusted my truth.

So whenever you feel a missing piece, trust your intuition and follow that calling. Your holistic self knows just what it needs to heal.
